Looking for a Remote Postdoc to Work on ELSI for Space Biomanufacturing
Daneil Yeh from the University of South Florida is looking for a recent or May 2024
PhD graduate to work as a postdoc on a new NASA/DARPA project on biomanufacturing
in space. The appointment period is April 1 – Dec 31, 2024 (8 months). The postdoc will develop, over a short period, a series of policy papers on the ethical,
legal, and social issues (ELSI) related to space biomanufacturing. Remote work is
possible.
Qualifications: The applicant should: 1) have (or will have by May 2024) obtained a Ph.D. degree
in a science or engineering field; 2) have an interest in space exploration and space
economy; 3) have strong English writing skills, as evidenced by a sound publication
record. The applicant will be asked to provide writing samples; 4) be able to work
independently and adhere to tight deadlines.
Due to the sponsors and nature of the project, the position is only available to US
citizens or permanent residents.
